This piece is a part of a series of paintings sent to Denver, Colorado for a new small works exhibition with Abend Gallery
It was a time for introspection when these compositions came about. Playing with colour in skintones and really leaning into the mark-making, this process was about expansion and pushing boundaries.
It's amazing to consider the meaning of this: boundaries within the work itself, the making of the work, and the life of the artist.
